The Scout Promise
On my honour, I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen,
To help other people
And to keep the Scout Law
As an Explorer Scout you will need to be enrolled. This takes place after you have been going to the Explorer unit for a number of weeks and you will need a uniform.
The leader will say the Scout promise, one line at the time, which you will repeat. After you have said the promise, you will be given a Certificate, the district scarf and an information pack.
Previous enrolments have taken place on HMS Chiddingfold
(a Royal Navy mine sweeper); at the BBC studios at Shepherd's Bush; on the London Eye and at 11,500 feet on the Jungfrau.
